A personal journal about work, rights, memory and music — held together without forcing a life into a single label.
I have lived long enough to distrust biographies that make every turn look inevitable. Mine was not. History led to law; public life led to military service; radio led to silence and music; Ukraine and Poland led, eventually, to Canada.
These are not separate careers arranged for effect. They are different rooms in the same house. In each one I have kept returning to the same question: what allows an ordinary person to remain a participant in decisions that shape their life?
A journal, not a monument
This site is a working notebook. It contains arguments that are still developing, memories that explain why certain rules matter, music made when ordinary language is not enough, and reports from places where institutions meet real people.
I am not interested in appearing finished. I am interested in keeping the work visible.
The journal will change with life. The platform will remain here. So will the book workroom. New issues can move other subjects to the cover without erasing what came before.
