Growing questions with me.
I've never been satisfied with the answer: "It's so simple."
If something is accepted, by whom? If there is a rule, for what? If something works that way, why?
Sometimes I found answers. And almost every answer brought new questions.
To Canada.
I was born and raised in Ukraine. He studied history, then law. He worked, participated in public life, represented people and served in the army.
That life wasn't perfect. But it was mine, and I built my place in it.
Start again
Life can change completely without erasing the person who lived it. My two degrees and my experience have not gone away. But my place in life is zero.
In Canada, I started again, cleaning up the hospital. I still work there. In the forced beginning there is no romance: work, bills, fatigue, uncertainty and the need to go on anyway.
What am I doing now?
I work with people whose rights, housing, income or place of work are at risk. I participate in the life of a trade union, not as an observer, but as a member and employee.
A large organization looks very different depending on where you look at it.
Why it matters to me
Structures that appear monolithic from the outside are created from the inside by people. Rules that look neutral have a very specific impact on real life.
Representation, voice and power are not abstract concepts for me. It's an everyday reality.
I'm not talking about outsiders. I'm one of them.
