YOUR MANDATE
A vote does not make the office the source of power. It gives the office a job.
If you choose me, choose a way of governing in which the power remains yours.
I am not asking you to replace your judgment with mine. I am asking for a mandate to carry your authority into a Provincial Executive — to question, argue, decide within that mandate, and report back for what follows.
I know how I want to use that mandate: to make the member, the Local and the democratic chain of authority harder to bypass.
A vote does not make the office the source of power. It gives the office a job.
Forward into the structure — and back with reasons, decisions and consequences.
The office comes after your authority. It does not replace it.
If that is the kind of Union you want, then choosing me is one way to choose it.
